Reverend Edwin Giles was appointed as the rector. Peter raised Tabitha (also called Dorcas), a beloved disciple known for her good deeds, from the dead in Joppa. After her death, disciples called Peter from nearby Lydda. He prayed and brought her back to life, leading many to believe in the Lord. Peter then stayed in Joppa for some time.<\/span><\/p>\n
