The church is to teach biblical doctrine so we can be grounded in our faith. Ephesians 4:14 tells us, \u201cThen we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.\u201d<\/span><\/h4>\n

The church is to be a place of fellowship, where Christians can be devoted to one another and honor one another (Romans 12:10), instruct one another (Romans 15:14), be kind and compassionate to one another (Ephesians 4:32), encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11), and most importantly, love one another (1 John 3:11)<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The chief mission God has given the church is to praise and worship him. In 1 Peter 2:9, Peter said this to the church, \u201cBut you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim\n the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a world that is dark and ignores or denies God (Rom 1:21), the church is called to corporately praise his name and pray for others to do so. In the Lord\u2019s Prayer, Christ taught believers to pray, \u201cHallowed be your name\u201d (Matt\n 6:9 NIV). It is a petition for God to be worshiped throughout the earth.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
